What we need:
We need an outstanding, A+ Senior Accountant who is ready to roll up their sleeves and help build the internal accounting function, develop the financial systems roadmap, drive process improvement, and enable strong performance against strategic, financial, and operational goals. You’ll report to the Controller, build relationships with company leadership, and drive these efforts as we continue to scale with the exponential customer growth.

What you'll be doing:

    • Oversee and improve all full cycle operational financial processes (ie. order to cash, procure to pay, record to report, incentive compensation/payroll, tax, equity)
    • Speed the monthly close process for all subsidiaries and review reconciliations
    • Support the company’s overall financial strategy and forecasting efforts  and perform financial statement analysis and review
    • Champion change management, transform manual processes, and leverage underutilized functionality in our existing financial systems, automation, and right size our process/people/products mix
    • Own the chart of accounts, general ledger management, and apply attention to detail over transaction classification
    • Implement, document, and enforce financial policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls
    • Coach accounting staff on technical accounting concepts and best practices to increase accuracy, speed, and minimize financials errors
    • Support the Controller and VP of Finance on making GAAP judgment calls on revenue recognition policies, expensing vs. capitalizing, and bridge differences between management reporting and GAAP with key internal stakeholders and decision makers
    • Stay current on the financial reporting developments and ASC standards
    • Be the main point of contact for 3rd party requests related to audits, stakeholders, compliance, diligence, and covenants

What we need from you:

    • A commitment to excellence, an ‘anything is possible’ attitude, and a strong bias to action
    • 3+ years of experience in an operational accounting role
    • 4+ years Big Four experience with a proven track record of promotion and increasing autonomy and responsibility
    • CPA certification
    • Advanced Excel skills (ie. advanced formulas, macros, & pivot tables)
    • Comfortable operating in a fast paced, growth stage start-up
    • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
    • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
    • Prior experience implementing and documenting new accounting processes
    • Advanced NetSuite user; ERP implementation experience a strong plus
    • Familiar with SaaS or usage, tiered, and subscription business models a strong plus
    • Reconciling Salesforce data with accounting systems a plus
    • Payroll experience a plus
