Cobalt builds autonomous security robots that keep buildings safe by combining the reliability of machines and the friendly face of human-in-the-loop “Robot Specialists”. Security costs US companies over $200B / year, and is a very difficult task for humans to perform because of long monotonous hours.
We have robots deployed to customers nationally and are an incredibly fast moving team - we went from nothing to shipping our first robots in 12 months! We are 35+ people now and we're looking for folks who are scrappy, collaborative, excited, and eager to share their knowledge and expertise with the rest of our team.
Want to move your career into the fast-growing area of robotics and security?  Now’s your chance. We are looking for an experienced, smart, and aggressive Sales Development Representative to enhance and grow within Cobalt Robotics and the sales team.  
As an integral member of the sales team, the Sales Development Representative is responsible for uncovering and qualifying opportunities for Cobalts Robotics partners and enterprise accounts.  
This position is totally focused on generating QUALIFIED OPPORTUNITIES for the field sales representatives.  

This is an inside sales role partnering with our outside sales executives /creating qualified leads/appointments.
The Sales Development position is a new, exciting team that is fully sponsored and well respected by the executive staff.


    • Respond to inbound inquiries from the prospect (phone, email, and web), attaining key data to qualify the prospect, generate qualified leads, and set conference call/appointment for the field representative
    • Research accounts, identify key decision makers and use cases
    • Maintain outbound call activity of 50-60 calls per day
    • Maintain accurate and complete data in Salesforce
    • Understand Cobalts Robotics product strengths, functionality, positioning, and 
    • Track and communicate daily activities
    • Create cohesive team strategy with field sales representatives in the
 assigned territory
    • Collaborate with Marketing to improve content for email and social media campaigns, website postings and event communications for demand generation
    • Travel to industry conferences to support Sales Executives and Marketing team


    • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
    • Ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in Sales Development, Inside Sales, or Telebusiness experience cold calling and prospecting directly to enterprise customers
    • Demonstrated track record of achieving aggressive established targets or quotas
    • Proven track record in making cold calls and converting prospects into qualified leads
    • Strong sales, interpersonal, and phone skills
    • Strong written and oral communications skills to convey service benefits and generate customer interest
    • Ability to learn, use and manage sales and marketing related platforms (i.e., Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.)

Bonus Points

    • Completion of formal sales training programs
    • Robotics and/or physical security experience
    • Previous start-up experience
