Cobalt builds autonomous security robots that keep buildings safe by combining the reliability of machines and the friendly face of human-in-the-loop “Robot Specialists”. Security costs US companies over $200B / year, and is a very difficult task for humans to perform because of long monotonous hours.
We have robots deployed to customers nationally and are an incredibly fast moving team - we went from nothing to shipping our first robots in 12 months! We are 35+ people now and we're looking for folks who are scrappy, collaborative, excited, and eager to share their knowledge and expertise with the rest of our team.
The Operations Manager - City Launcher is one of the most challenging positions at Cobalt. You will wear many hats and as the tip of the spear for new geographic expansions, you are responsible for ensuring new and existing customers are successful and helping build a presence in the region for Cobalt.

Your Goals

    • Lead day-to-day aspects of operations and logistics
    • Perform account management and help run sales demos
    • Plan and manage logistical movement and deployments of robots in your region
    • Service and maintain robots deployed at various customer sites
    • Partner with other teams in Cobalt: Engineering, Ops, Supply Chain
    • Receive, track, and order parts or equipment for robots or the office
    • Help manage and steer culture for new-hires in the region
    • Travel to different regions regularly where needed


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • 1 - 3 years in Operations or Logistics
    • Ability to interact well with clients and partners
    • Strong intuition for technology, both web, and mobile
    • Experience managing teams and personalities
    • Ability and means to drive within the region (this region will reduce in size as more personnel come on board)
    • Scrappy, get stuff done attitude

Bonus Points

    • Some project management experience
    • Previous experience working for a startup
    • Experience working with electronics or mechanical assembly
