Software Engineer - Generalist: You should be a generalist who loves diving into many layers of the stack, learning new technologies, and wearing many different hats. Your goal will be to improve reliability and add new functionality to our system whether in our robotics code, our frontend interfaces, or our backend infrastructure. Adaptability is key here.

Your Goals

    • Cobalt robots rely on our skilled “Robot Specialists” and our cloud infrastructure to do their job correctly. You’ll develop our internal tools and interfaces to help humans and machines work together.
    • Integrate our robots with 3rd party systems such as elevators, automatic doors, and security software.
    • Work directly alongside Specialists to understand and improve workflows

Your Experience

    • Exceptional coding, debugging, and architecture skills, with an eye for maintainability, reliability, and performance
    • Experience with Python
    • 3+ years of industry experience building software applications
    • BA/BS in CS, Software Engineering, or a related field

Bonus Points

    • Experience building modern frontends using React and Redux
    • Experience with Django or a similar web framework
    • Experience with C++ or embedded firmware
    • Experience with network security
    • Experience with robotics
    • Have worked in a startup environment
