We're looking to expand our Site Reliability Engineering / DevOps team and are hiring a Junior to Mid level engineer. You will report to the Head of Site Reliability and will be part of a cross functional team focusing on delivering particular features for Digital Shadows products. You will be involved with best of the breed of modern technologies in cloud computing, containers, data storage and processing, machine learning, environments management, orchestration, monitoring, solving interesting and difficult problems while relying on the help of your peers and management.
Work as part of cross functional team focusing on availability, scalability, latency and other non functional requirements of the service
Ensure monitoring coverage, centralised logging and metrics collection and analysis for the system
Implement and support continuous Integration and deployment mechanisms
Following and advocating DevOps best practices, continuously improving on processes, technologies and automation.
Perform other DevOps or Site Reliability duties as part of the team.
Experience with Unix/Linux operating system
Exceptional problem solving skills
Capable of technical deep-dives into code, networking, operating systems and storage
Capable of writing scripts in at least one of Ruby, Python, Perl, Bash
Experience of working with AWS cloud services
Experience with docker and docker orchestration tools (Kubernetes, mesos, etc)
Experience with server/service provisioning tools (i.e. terraform, puppet, chef, etc)
Continuous Integration experience (Jenkins or similar)
Experience of build/release process with Maven on a git repository
Familiarity with monitoring software and experience of modern exception tracking software
Knowledge of databases and datastores, particularly HBase, MySQL, PostgresSQL
Knowledge of Elasticsearch

Salary is negotiable on and commensurate with experience. The salary range is £40k - £50k.
