Bottom line: We're searching for an extremely driven, organized and motivated individual who can serve as the "right arm" to our CEO as we tackle strategic initiatives ranging from acquisition integrations to go-to-market strategy implementations.
As Gather’s first Manager of Strategic Programs, you will be the "right arm" to our CEO, serving as a critical resource for strategic and tactical projects within the company. You will also act as the Chief of Staff to our executive team, work with the CEO and Head of Finance through M&A strategy development and execution, and drive ad-hoc strategic projects as necessary.
This is a step-up role from someone approaching or at their first promotion point at a consulting firm or in a high-growth startup. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the CEO and executive team at a high-growth startup, and will gain exposure to the private equity world through our partnership with Vista Equity Partners.
This role reports to our CEO.
What you'll do:
Work with our CEO as his "right arm" - helping him tackle ad-hoc strategic projects and providing ongoing support extending from day-to-day to the board level.
Work with our CEO, Head of Finance, and extended team at Vista Equity Partners to develop, maintain and execute on our M&A strategy.
Act as the Chief of Staff to our executive team, helping move strategic projects along and acting as the connective tissue between departments.
Lead cross-functional, high-impact projects, communicating project status to our executive team on a consistent basis.
Work with our broader team to develop and implement standard operating procedures and best practices.
What you bring:
Empathy, resourcefulness, & drive.
Minimum 1.5 years at a top tier consulting firm or in an operational role (Product Manager, GM) at a high-growth tech company.
Ability to drive change with or without authority, across functions in the business.
Excels at operating both in the weeds (think: excel modeling) and at a strategic level (think: synthesizing strategy for a board deck).
Strong analytical & quantitative skills, and strong intellectual curiosity.
Communication skills & executive presence.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
