Gather is a sales & marketing platform used by top venues across the US to manage and grow their private events business. We're a funded startup, and we're growing -- fast! Bottom line: We are looking for a leader to grow, develop and mentor our Account Executive team. You will work with the team and sales leadership team to develop and implement sales strategies, improve close rates, and help the company to hit our aggressive growth goals. What you'll do: Manage a growing team of Account Executives (AEs) through team stand-ups and weekly 1:1 meetings Continuously manage the performance and development of the team through coaching on sales skills, competitive positioning, and goal setting Work with People Ops to develop recruiting strategies; interview, evaluate and hire internal and external candidates for a quickly growing team Provide guidance to the team on deal negotiation to improve close rates Work with the Sales Training Manager and People Ops to develop and deliver new hire and continuous learning training programs Conduct weekly pipeline review meetings Ensure the team beats monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals Evaluate and make recommendations to leadership on sales processes and tools Foster a sense of team among a group of highly competitive people What you should bring: 3+ years of proven success in an inside sales role, preferably within a SaaS company, with 1+ years of experience managing a team Empathy, resourcefulness, and drive BS/BA degree Experience selling at lower ACVs (<$5K) and/or to SMBs Experience working with CRMs, such as Salesforce; experience with sales enablement tools, such as Outreach or SalesLoft Familiarity with concepts like Predictable Revenue, Sales Cadences, and Qualified Appointments Top-notch interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build trust & rapport Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Desire to have fun at work and preferably have a passion for food, drink, and general merriment
