Gather is a sales & marketing platform used by top venues across the US to manage and grow their private events business. We're a funded startup, and we're growing -- fast!
Bottom line: We're searching for someone who is an energetic, detail-oriented team player to take ownership of our events and community strategy to help build brand awareness and grow Gather’s event community across the nation.
As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for building brand awareness and helping drive sales pipeline through on-site, face-to-face interactions with prospective clients and clients alike. You will help grow and foster Gather’s brand identity through events, sponsorships, tradeshows and webinars. You will work alongside our sales and customer experience teams to devise programs and initiatives that will help build a Gather champion network across the Nation.
This role reports to our VP of Marketing and requires frequent travel.
What you'll do:
Plan, organize, and execute events on a recurring basis.
Manage all event logistics including vendor relationships, travel, and day-of execution.
Responsible for promotion, attendance tracking, pipeline management and follow up from each event.
Find and secure sponsorships that will build brand awareness and drive new leads.
Work cross functionally to curate captivating content and programs in each city.
Build a network of Gather advocates to empower market influencers in target metros and work with local event managers and catering groups.
What you'll bring:
Empathy, resourcefulness, and drive.
2-3 years of events management experience.
Experience in budget management.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. This is a highly cross-functional role.
Experience using marketing automation platforms (Marketo preferred).
Ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing, high growth environment.
